2 arrested after drug paraphernalia found in car

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested two people on drug and a suspended license charge.

A sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop after observing suspicious activity at 4 a.m. Thursday.

April Gregory, 35 of Paducah was driving a red 2002 Pontiac. Wesley Griffith, 34, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Gregory was operating her vehicle on a DUI suspended license again.

Griffith was arrested on a McCracken County warrant for failing to report to jail to serve a court ordered jail sentence.

The sheriff's department found items associated with drug use and the items contained residue of controlled substances.

A Paducah Police K-9 assisted during the stop.

Both Gregory and Griffith were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Gregory is charged with: driving DUI suspended license – 2nd offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, and poss. controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense - cocaine.

Griffith is charged with bench warrant for contempt of court.
