CENTERVILLE, IL (KFVS/WFIE) -

An autopsy is planned today on the body of a woman found in the bed of a pick up truck in rural White County.

That truck was in a wooded area near Centerville, Illinois, a small community in white county.

The sheriff says the truck matches the vehicle listed in a missing persons case.

Reported missing were Jessica Evans, 17, the sheriff confirms it was Evans' body found in the truck.  A preliminary investigation shows she had been shot twice in the head.

The man who is missing is Jacob Wheeler, 22.

He's identified as Evans' boyfriend.  Deputies say Wheeler was driving the vehicle, and has not been found.

Right now, the sheriff doesn't know if Wheeler's a victim, or a person of interest in Evans' death.

The sheriff considers the case a homicide.

Deputies say Wheeler and Evans were supposed to be fishing in the Centerville area Saturday night.  They have been trying to locate them all day on Monday.

The pickup truck was found in a wooded area along the river at the end of County Road 2150N east of Centerville about 2:45 p.m. Monday.

Anyone with information about Jacob Wheeler's location is asked to contact the White County Sheriff's Office at 618-382-5321.
