Former Redhawk heads to play Overseas

Former Southeast Missouri State University forward Leon Powell has signed a contract to play basketball overseas.

Powell, a St. Louis native, will play with AB Contern in Luxembourg.

He earned Second-Team All-OVC and All-Newcomer Team honors by leading the nation in field goal percentage.

The last two seasons Powell has led the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage.

He also ranked third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding, as well as added a team-high 42 blocks for the Redhawks.
