Dyersburg police make arrest in stolen handguns case

DYERSBURG, TN (KFVS) -

Dyersburg Police arrested a person on Monday in connection with a burglary in which 11 handguns were stolen earlier this month from Cycle Werks.

Kelly Wright, 44, of 1515 Maxy Drive is charged with burglary.

Officers with the Street Crimes Unit found Wright hiding in a closet at his home Monday afternoon, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers recovered two of the weapons.

Captain Steve Isbell with Dyersburg Police asks for the public's assistance if they have any information about the stolen guns still on the street or the burglary.

Wright was taken to the Dyer County Justice Complex.
