Former 911 Director from Wabash Co. facing forgery, misconduct charges

The Wabash County State's Attorney has filed forgery and misconduct charges against the former 911 Director for Wabash County.

Colby C. Rigg, 30, of Bellmont, Ill. was charged with four counts of forgery and three counts of official misconduct. He was arrested Monday morning.

According to the Wabash County Prosecutor David W. Rands, that in March 2007, November 2008, December 2010 and March 2011 Rigg delivered documents to the Wabash County Treasurer which he said was signed by Charles K. Sanders, knowing it had not been signed by Sanders.

Rands says on the following occasions:

  • March 2007, Rigg allegedly forged expense reports for the Wabash County Emergency Telephone System Board for Feb. 2007.
  • November 2008, Rigg allegedly forged an expense report for the Wabash County Emergency Telephone System Board for Oct. 2008.
  • December 2010, Rigg allegedly forged a memo authorizing Christmas bonuses for himself and another employee of the Wabash County Emergency Telephone System Board.
  • March 2011, Rigg allegedly forged an expense report for the Wabash County Emergency Telephone System Board for March 2011.
