Kankakee man pleads guilty to sexual abuse, selling cocaine

MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) -

A Kankakee man pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse and selling cocaine near a school.

George D. White, 27, engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15 year old when he was 22 years old, according to the Jefferson County State's Attorney's Office.

It happened around August 2007. White will be required to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

White also pleaded guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. He was sentenced to three years in prison with one year mandatory supervised release.

White sold some crack cocaine to a confidential source of the Mt. Vernon Police Department Narcotics Division on Sept. 15, 2008.

Both sentences will run consecutive for a total of six years in prison.
