Murray State adds two transfers to football roster

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

Football Head Coach Chris Hatcher of Murray State University announced adding two transfer students, Jaamal Berry and Cadarious Sanders, to the 2012 roster.

Berry has spent the last three seasons at Ohio State.

He ranked 40th in FBS because of his average 25.4 yards per kickoff return after redshirting his freshman year, as well as being named to the Rivals Big Ten All-Freshman team.

Berry was also a prep standout at Miami Palmetto High school, where he lead the Panthers to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 50 years, earning him all-Dade County honors.

ESPNU 150 rated Berry as the No. 22 player overall, and Rivals.com and Scout.com rated him as a four-star prospect.

Sanders transfers from South Carolina where he spent the previous two years as a reserve corner back.

He joined the Gamecocks after a standout career at Troup Country Comprehensive High School.

Rivals.com, Scout.com, and ESPN.com rated Sanders as a three-star prospect.

The Murray State Racers will open their regular season in Tallahassee at Florida State.
