Todd Tumminia joins the Heartland News team after working at the NBC affiliate, KOMU-TV, in Columbia.
Todd's favorite part of his job is telling stories. Whether it's covering the devastating EF-5 Joplin Tornado or a city council meeting, Todd likes giving the people affected a voice.
Growing up, Todd wanted to be the play-by-play broadcaster for his hometown team, St. Louis Cardinals. After graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri, he decided to give news a chance and hasn't looked back since.
That hasn't changed his passion for being a fan though. Todd is a huge Cardinals, Rams, Blues and Missouri Tigers fan.
When he's not reporting, Todd enjoys working with special needs children. He worked with an organization in St. Louis called TASK and one day wants to start a charity of his own.
If you have a story or idea that you think needs to be told, e-mail Todd.
