More than 1,000 attend motocross event

OLD APPLETON, MO (KFVS) -

More than 1,000 people attended a big motocross event in Old Appleton on July 22.

The event held at the Sky High Motocross Park is in memory of Luke Gibson.

Luke died in 2010 when he was involved in a crash during practice at a motocross event.

His dad Dave Gibson just wants to give back to the motocross community and help people enjoy the sport as a family.

More than 300 riders competed in the event.

The next race in the King of the Hill series will be held August 26.
