MADISON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Two 911 calls were not responded to by Madison County Sheriff's Department leading to two deputies suspended without pay.

Deputy Luke Nickelson is suspended without pay for 10 days. Deputy Steve Robinson is suspended for five days without pay. Both did not respond to calls for help for David Montgomery.

"They said I was laying there for 18 hours," Montgomery said. "My buddy came up and got me from down the road and I was there for 18 hours."

When the help did arrive, they said Montgomery needed to be airlifted to St. Louis to survive.

"When I went in, they said my head was swelled up," Montgomery said. "My jaw was broke and hanging down on my chest. The only clothes they found me in was my underwear."

According to court documents, Montgomery's wife said she met her husband at his house to pick up her stuff. The exchange became heated and that's when 18-year-old Domonic Parrow stepped in. Investigators said he beat Montgomery until he was knocked out.

Parrow has been charged with 1st degree assault resulting in serious injury.
