VAN BUREN, MO (KFVS) -

A 15-year-old from Piedmont was seriously injured in an ATV crash on Saturday.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. on Highway 21, 10 miles east of Van Buren, Missouri.

Troopers say the driver, 14-year-old Kenny Cason, and a passenger, 15-year-old Kyle Killen, were thrown from the vehicle after the driver lost control and it left the road.

Killen was flown to a Cape Girardeau hospital, and later a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
