MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

A persistent musician gets in trouble with the law for allegedly refusing to stop playing at a local bar.

Murphysboro police say they were called to the Da-Nite Tavern around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night after employees asked 21-year-old Jovanni Veramendi to stop playing his guitar and he refused.

When police asked him to stop playing, officers say he still wouldn't stop.

Police say he then struggled with officers and was arrested for trespassing and resisting a peace officer.

Veramendi was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
