Yes to alcohol sales in Murray, No in Marshall County

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

The Calloway County Clerk's office tells Heartland News voters said yes, to alcohol sales in Murray.

The voters were faced with the question: "Are you in favor of sales of alcoholic beverages in Murray?"

Unofficial results show:

Yes - 2,109

No - 1,822

Right now, alcohol can be sold by the drink, this would stores to sell liquor.

Marshall County Clerk Tim York told Heartland News voters said the county will not be a "wet" county for alcohol sales.

York said unofficial final numbers are:

Yes - 6,211

No - 6,906

The county will remain a "dry" county without alcohol sales.
