    People in one neighborhood are starting to calm down, after a shooting suspect is put into custody. He reportedly shot at his wife and a state trooper in Jackson, Missouri.
    Prosecutor Morley Swingle charged Lawrence Guthrie, 45, with three felony counts of assault on a law enforcement, one felony count of domestic assault and one count of armed criminal action. 
JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

The man accused of shooting at his wife and police in Jackson last month made his first court appearance Monday.

Lawrence Guthrie, 45, faces three counts of assault on law enforcement, one count of domestic assault, and one count of armed criminal action.

Investigators say Guthrie shot himself and was also hit by a bullet from police after a standoff.

Officers headed out to a Jackson neighborhood after Guthrie's wife called 911 saying her husband shot at her.

A judge read Guthrie his charges and gave him until the end of the month to get a lawyer.
