CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) - Three people have been shot in Charleston.

Charleston Police Chief Robert Hearnes says the police department received a 911 call about a shooting near the intersection of Vine and Oliver streets around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

One person was shot in the arm. Another was shot in the buttocks. A third was shot in the thigh.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Police are still investigating.

There are no suspects in custody.

Meanwhile people who live in the area say they are tired of all the violence.

"People start shooting anyway they don't care if there's kids around or not," said Elgen Greer.

"We can't have fun the kids can't play and it's not going to hit home until somebody's kid gets shot," said Obria Kent.

"It's like mini Chicago," said Samon McCain. "I need to get away from here because I don't want my kids to grow up in this."

Another fight between two women happened Sunday as Heartland news was in the area. Police tell us one of the women went to the hospital and both will likely be arrested.

Anyone with information on Saturday's shooting is asked to call the Charleston Police Department at 573-683-3737.
