MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Marshall County Animal Shelter Committee has hired both a new director and assistant director for the shelter.
Autumn Hollis of Benton, KY has been offered the position of director. Hollis is a certified vet technician and a 2003 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
She pursued further education at Paducah Community College in 2006 and earned a certificate in child development from the Purchase Area Development District in 2007, which is helpful in her work with foster children.
Hollis has eight years' professional experience working in a veterinary clinic in Paducah. She also has nearly 10 years experience working with animal rescue organizations which will help in her capacity as shelter director.
Erin Seig of Paducah has been offered the position of assistant director. Seig is a 2003 graduate of the Nossi College of Art where she studied graphic design and photography. She has diversified experience in the field of public relations, marketing and management, and will serve as adoption coordinator and public relations specialist.
Seig is currently the marketing director for Lake Chem Federal Credit Union in Marshall County. She brings her skill set and knowledge of community resources to aid the shelter in their effort to place animals in loving homes.
The shelter is always very grateful for donations of any kind, especially food, litter, bowls, collars, and other items to better the lives of the shelter's animals.
The Marshall County Animal Shelter will host an adoption drive on Saturday July 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter.
