Woman found guilty of stabbing in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) -

A woman has been found guilty of aggravated battery in Jefferson County.

Aimee M. Bockhol, 19, of Mt. Vernon was in an altercation on March 14 in which she stabbed Mckenzie Green in the abdomen with a knife, according to the Jefferson County State's Attorney.

The incident took place outside of Bockhol's home at the Rolling Meadows Trailer Park in Mt. Vernon.

Bockhol faces a possible sentence of between 2 and 5 years in the Illinois Department of Correction.

A sentence hearing has been scheduled for August 22. Bockhol will remain in jail until the sentencing.
