HERRIN, IL (KFVS) - Herrin leaders voted to allow limited gaming in the city.
Herrin Mayor Vic Ritter says the city council approved the measure.
The new law allows certain clubs to pay out on gambling machines that already exist in the city.
The state gets one third of the revenue, while the city gets five percent.
The business gets what's left.
Southern Illinois residents talk about the change.
Under Herrin's law, businesses can only have five gaming machines per business or club.
