PARK HILLS, MO (KFVS) -

A Missouri National Guard unit from Farmington is preparing for deployment to Afghanistan.

The 1138 Engineer Company had a deployment ceremony scheduled for Saturday morning a the Mineral Area College Field House in Park Hills.

The company has been training in Nevada, Mo. since early June for their nine month mission.

The 95 citizen soldiers will now train at Fort Bliss, Texas before deploying to Afghanistan.
