Routine traffic stop nabs Illinois fugitive in Henderson, Ky.

HENDERSON, KY (KFVS) - A fugitive wanted in Saline County, Illinois was caught in Henderson, KY during a routine traffic stop.

James M. Fletcher, wanted in Saline County, IL, was arrested Wednesday, July 4 when the vehicle he was traveling in was stopped for having an obstructed windshield.

The officer making the traffic stop suspected criminal activity and upon further investigation, James Fletcher and two female passengers were arrested.

Mary M. Bell, 30, and Holly R. Howard, 24, both of Morganfield, Ky., were arrested on drug possession charges.

James M. Fletcher, 37, of Morganfield, Ky. was arrested on charges of giving officer false name and address, possession of handgun by convicted felon, being a fugitive from another state - Saline County, IL, and a warrant for parole violation issued by the Kentucky Parole Board.

All three suspects were housed in the Henderson County Detention Facility.
