CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A shorted out wire is to blame for knocking out the navigation lights on the US 68 Eggners Ferry Bridge.
A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet electrical crew spent the morning checking the navigation lights on the bridge Monday.
The electrical crew found wires in one of the lights had shorted out causing it to throw the breakers on the bridge power supply.
The electrical issue has been repaired and the work zone removed from the bridge.
The repair has been reported to the Coast Guard.
The lights were reported out late Sunday night by a private boater around 11 p.m.
Navigation lighting was initially repaired after the bridge was struck by the cargo ship Delta Mariner on January 26.
The lights were working when the bridge re-opened Memorial Day.
