Two heartland athletes come up short in their bid for the Olympic Games.

Southern Illinois University shot putter Jeneva McCall and Murray State 200 meter runner Alexis Love come up just short in their pursuit of the London Olympic Games.

McCall finished in eighth place out of the twelve shot put finalists.  The top four from the US Olympic Trials qualified for the Olympic Team.

Love missed the cut after failing to make it past the semi-finals in the 200 meter.  She finished sixth overall.
