Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has new app

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office launched a new smartphone app.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office app is a free download for users and is available for Android smart devices by searching "MOJeffersonSO" on Google Play. (iPhone app coming soon)

App users have access to real-time detention center information, plus Jefferson County's 10 most wanted criminals. The sheriff's office will also be able to send news and alerts directly to user's smartphones – notifying them about anything from bank robberies and missing persons to escapes, and more.

Jefferson County Sheriff Olive "Glenn" Boyer says the app allows the sheriff's office to get important information to people's fingertips.

The app is also fully integrated with the county's victim notification service, VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday).
