WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Illinois State Board of Education announced that 1,900 sites will serve breakfast and lunch to people ages 18 and younger in the state during summer vacation.
Meals will be served at schools, park districts, places of worship and community facilities. Application and proof of income is not necessary to receive meals.
The United States Department of Agriculture will be funding the summer meals program. Illinois served 5.9 million meals last summer.
