Cape Girardeau: The Red Cross, in partnership with the City of Cape Girardeau, will open a cooling center Thursday at the Osage Centre at 1625 N. Kingshighway.
- Monday – Thursday 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Sunday noon – 9 p.m.
- Closing at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 4th
Perryville: two cooling centers open.
- Perryville Senior Center 6:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
- Perry Park Center 5 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays, 8 .a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sundays
Morehouse: FBC Morehouse is a cooling center for those living in the Morehouse area. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The center is located at 210 E. Beech Street.

Johnson County, IL:

Centers are open starting Thursday, June 29 from noon to 7 p.m.
St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia and Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon will serve as cooling centers to area residents due to the extreme temperatures.
The City of Carbondale is providing a cooling center at the Carbondale Civic Center, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. According to Mayor Joel Fritzler, the cooling center at the Carbondale Civic Center will be open Sunday, July 1, from 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Union County EMA director says three cooling centers are open in Anna, Illinois.
One is at the public aid office in human resources at Chote Mental Health in Anna which is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The other center is located at McDonalds in Anna, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., open seven days a week.
And, Anna Heights Baptist Church on Transcraft Drive is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All centers will provide free water.

A cooling center has been opened at the Joe Creason Community Building at 1600 1/2 Park Ave. in Benton, Ky. The center is open from June 29 to July 6, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
