1 person taken to the hospital after a moped vs. car crash in Jackson

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

Emergency crews were on the scene of a moped vs. car crash Thursday night in Jackson, Missouri.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. on East Jackson Boulevard by CrossRoads Fellowship and Sappington Pro Outdoors.

Police aren't saying much right now, but one person was loaded up on an ambulance and taken to a local hospital.

There is no word on the extent of those injuries.

Our crew on the scene says it appears there is extensive damage to both vehicles.  The windshield was shattered on the car and the moped was damaged heavily.
