SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

A missing Sikeston teenager has been found safe and sound.

Angel Woods, 14, was found Thursday evening after a report was broadcast on Heartland News.

She is in a safe and secure environment for her protection, according to a Sikeston juvenile officer.

Woods had been missing since June 12.

Woods has a history of running away. Police say she was found in a motel with an 18 year old when she was 13.

Police say Woods has 'texted' home recently and assume she is missing voluntarily.

Police were concerned for her safety because of her age, the complete lack of whereabouts, the number of days she had been missing and her history with older men.
