Woman injured, man arrested after stabbing in Hardin

HARDIN, KY (KFVS) -

A woman is injured and a man arrested after a stabbing in Hardin Tuesday morning.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was called to College Street Tuesday after a woman was stabbed.

The woman was lying on a couch with a stab wound. The knife was in the floor in front of the couch.

Both the man and woman had been arguing and fighting all night when the man got a knife from the victim and stabbing the woman, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.

Both people were also heavily under the influence of something, according to the sheriff's office.

Michael D. Nicholas, 58, of Gilbertsville, is charged with assault 1st degree domestic violence and taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
