CAVE-IN-ROCK, IL (KFVS) - Thousands of bikers travel from all over the country to Southern Illinois for Hog-Rock this weekend.
Bikers should expect to see more law enforcement.
Hardin County Sheriff Joyce Cullison said the department tripled the number of deputies on patrol during the Hog Rock weekend.
She said Illinois State Police send at least 10 troopers to help them with the large crowds.
Cullison said one of the biggest things they try to prevent are motorcycle wrecks. So, she said they step up traffic control to help keep down the riders' speed. She said it's better to be safe than sorry.
Cullison said besides the stabbing two years ago, the group usually doesn't cause major problems. She said she hopes that's the case this year too.
