PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Police say Chadricious Alexander was only on the run for about 20 minutes before officers found him.
Alexander was serving time at the Keeton Corrections Complex for a conviction of burglary and trafficking.
Around 4:30 Tuesday, Paducah police for a call that he had walked away.
An officer soon spotted him about a block from the center, but he says Alexander ran.
About 10 officers then set up a search area and passers-by told an officer they had seen Alexander jump a fence at unique auto sales on south 6th Street.
The officers surrounded the business and Alexander soon surrendered, again about 20 minutes after he escaped.
He was arrested and transferred to Kentucky State Police custody. He now faces escape charges and was taken to at the McCracken County Jail.
