Tenn. man sentenced to 4 years in prison for threatening DCFS employee

UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Union County State's Attorney announced Tuesday a Dyersburg man has been sentenced to four years in prison after he threatened a Department of Children and Family Services employee.

Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds says Brandon McCaslin, 30, from Dyersburg, Tenn. and formerly from Alto Pass, Ill. has been sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of intimidation, a Class 3 felony.

According to Edmonds, McCaslin called the DCFS in January 2012 and conveyed threats to a DCFS employee about a pending case with the agency.

McCaslin was arrested after an investigation by the Anna Police Department and Union County Sheriff's Office.
