GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Wingo man is behind bars in Graves County, accused of using methamphetamine and stealing things from a business.
According to Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, a deputy was called to a home on Watershed Road for a report of illegal drug activity. When he arrived, the deputy said people at the home scattered. The deputy called for back up.
During their investigation, Redmon said his deputies learned that a couple had gotten into a physical fight at another area and one of the victims was taken to the home on Watershed Road.
Deputies said they noticed a pick up truck in the driveway of the home that had expensive farming equipment and other pieces of scrap metal in the back. 22-year-old Christopher Wiley admitted to deputies that he had stolen the items from a business in Sedalia.
According to Sheriff Redmon, deputies also found a tool box loaded with tools and a pry bar inside Wiley's truck. Deputies also found a used syringe in the yard. Wiley told deputies it was his and that he'd hid the syringe.
Wiley was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of burglary tools.
The couple involved in the initial physical fight were both arrested and charged with assault 4th degree domestic violence. The sheriff's department's policy is to not release the names of people involved in domestic violence cases.
