Southern Illinois food program begins today

School is out, but food is still in for kids in southern Illinois.

Anyone under the age of 18 can get a free meal at five locations in Murphysboro and Carbondale beginning today and running through July 19.

Food will be served at the following locations:

Murphysboro Carruthers School.  Breakfast: 8:00-8:30.  Lunch: 11:45-12:15. Monday-Thursday.

Murphysboro Youth & Rec Center. Lunch only: 11:45-12:15. Monday-Thursday.

Murphysboro High School.  Breakfast only: 7:45-8:30. Monday-Friday.

Boys & Girls Club of Carbondale.  Breakfast: 8:00-8:30.  Lunch: 11:30-12:30.  Monday-Friday.

Eurma C. Hayes Center of Carbondale.  Breakfast: 7:45-8:30.  Lunch:  11:45-12:45. Monday-Friday.

There is no application to fill out.  Any child under the age of 18 can receive a meal.  Adults can buy breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $2.50.
