Crews battle early-morning blaze in Ste. Genevieve County

OZORA, MO (KFVS) - Fire crews battled an early-morning blaze in Ste. Genevieve County.

The Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's Office confirms fire crews were called out to a structure fire in Ozora at the Ozora Truck Wash. The call came in around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to the fire department, the blaze is not considered suspicious at this time. But, the state fire marshal has been called in to investigate.

Eight county-wide fire departments responded to the blaze, along with Perryville,  Altenburg, Frona and Biele.

Crews say it was a big fire, but the building is salvageable. It was an addition to the car wash that burned and not the main building.

A Heartland News viewer reported the fire was at the truck wash near exit 141 off Interstate 55.

No word on what caused the blaze.  No one was hurt, according to fire crews.
