One person injured in car-motorcycle collision

CADIZ, KY (KFVS) -

A Christian County, Ky. man remains hospitalized after injuries sustained in a Sunday afternoon collision.

Christopher Mullins, 33, was driving westbound on US 68 on a Suzuki motorcycle.

A Nissan Sentra, operated by Rosetta Bacon, 62, was traveling north on KY 139.

Witnesses stated that Bacon's vehicle crossed the intersection of the two highways without coming to a complete stop at the stop sign.  

Bacon's vehicle traveled into the path of Mullin's motorcycle causing the motorcycle to collide with the passenger side of Bacon's vehicle.

Mullins, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. 

Bacon was unharmed.  Mullins was transported to Trigg County Hospital and later transferred to Vanderbilt University Hospital for multiple injuries.

The accident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Trigg County Sheriff's Department and Trigg County EMS/Rescue.
