WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - Police say driver dozing caused a crash on Interstate 57 Sunday morning.
It happened just after 8:30 a.m. in Franklin County in the northbound lanes of I-57 just north of the West Frankfort exit.
According to the Illinois State Police, 58-year-old Beverly Coleman of Calumet City fell asleep at the wheel, ran off the road and her car overturned.
Coleman was taken to Franklin Hospital with minor injuries.
She was ticketed for improper lane usage and expired registration.
