Police say teen driver's U-turn caused crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A teen driver is cited after police say she caused a crash on Interstate 24 Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say 19-year-old Morgan Vincent of Mayfield was in the eastbound lanes of I-24 near mile post 9 when she tried to make U-turn at a median interchange.

That's when deputies say 36-year-old Rocky Brown's car struck the teen's vehicle from behind.

Teresa Brown, a passenger in Brown's vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Vincent was cited for failure to obey a traffic control sign that prohibited U-turns in the median.
