CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Family, friends and even those who never knew the mother of three will lace up their sneakers in the first annual Jacque Waller 5k Run/Walk event.
Friday marked the one-year anniversary of Jacque Waller's disappearance. She was last seen at her estranged husband Clay Waller's home in Jackson. Her vehicle was found abandoned alongside interstate 55 the next day.
The memorial run/walk gets underway around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Shawnee Park Concession stand on Rust Avenue in Cape Girardeau.
If you did not pre-register you can register until race time. It's $15 to run/walk, and $25 to buy an event commemorative shirt.
Proceeds from the race will go the Jacque Waller family fund to help support Jacque's three children.
