CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Rams fans got a chance to meet one of their own as wide receiver Danario Alexander made a trip to Cape Girardeau to sign autographs and take pictures Tuesday night at Menards.
Prior to becoming a member of the St. Louis Rams, Alexander was an elite wide receiver for Mizzou where he played all four years.
Alexander's breakout season came during his senior year when he pulled in 113 receptions for a NCAA best 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns.
After joining the Rams in 2010, Alexander has registered 737 yards and three touchdowns.
Going into his third season, Alexander says he's looking forward to improving his game and getting the Rams to the playoffs.
St. Louis will kickoff the 2012 season Sept. 9 against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit.
Menards will also have former major league baseball player Andy Van Slyke and current NFL quarterback Chase Daniel on hand to meet fans later this week.
