Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's office conducted a traffic stop at Benton road and Said road for a traffic violation at 10:46 Monday night. 

Once deputies approached the vehicle they came into contact with Tracey M. Diehl, 44, of Boaz, Kentucky. Deputies found Diehl operating her motor vehicle under the influence and placed her under arrest. 

A search of Diehl's vehicle reveled that she had a glass methamphetamine pipe with methamphetamine residue still inside of it. Deputies say she also had prescription medication that was not in the proper container.

Diehl was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The list of charges she faces includes: operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and having a controlled prescription not in the proper container.

    One inmate was captured but another two are still on the run after they escaped from the White County Jail in southern Illinois early on the morning of Saturday, June 16.
