Good evening to you on this Memorial Day! We want to say thank you to everyone who has served in the military.  We honor you and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

In news today, a sinking barge on the Tennessee River had not settled on the bottom of the Tennessee River this morning. The US Coast Guard and several agencies responded to the sinking barge with a crane mounted on the deck yesterday.

A man from Texas faces charges after Cape Girardeau police say he pulled a gun on an officer.

Several Memorial Day events across the Heartland honored veterans today. Several hundred people turned our for events in Bloomfield and Jackson. Christy Millweard talked to people today about honoring our veterans.

Many of you may have been traveling this weekend, but unfortunately today kicks off a grim and deadly season for teen drivers. According to AAA, Memorial Day to Labor Day marks the 100 deadliest days for teens. Holly Brantley tells us something simple that researchers say you can do to save lives.
