WAPPAPELLO LAKE, MO (KFVS) - Heavy rains last spring washed out roads near Wappapello Lake and beaches were underwater but the lake opened to the public.
However, the big attraction then was damage left behind from all the flooding.
You'll remember water poured over a temporary levee at the park washing out a large section of Highway T.
This year is a much different story. The once damaged beaches and the swollen lake are now flooded with visitors.
Camp grounds are also packed to their limits.
Tonight on Heartland News at 10 hear about the improvements and progress at the park, and how the lake is bouncing back from devastation.
