Tenn. motorcyclist, passenger injured in I-55 motorcycle crash

HAYTI, MO (KFVS) -

A man and woman from Tennessee had to be taken to hospitals after a late night motorcycle crash in Pemiscot County, Missouri.

The crash happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 55 at the 24 mile marker.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 1982 Honda Goldwing motorcycle driven northbound by Ronnie D. Irvan, 44, of South Fulton, Tenn. ran off the road and overturned. 

Ronnie Irvan received serious injuries and was flown by air ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.

A passenger on the bike, Montana N. Irvan, 23, also of South Fulton received minor injuries and was treated at a Hayti hospital.

According to the patrol, the driver and the passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
