BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Deputies say two people were taken into custody and accused of trafficking heroin at a home across the street from a Boys and Girls Club in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Investigators say Demetrius D. Taylor and Chelsey R. Roberts, both of D Street in Poplar Bluff were taken into custody Wednesday.
Investigators say they found powdered heroin, numerous capsules containing heroin and paraphernalia associated with distribution.
According to the Sheriff Mark Dobbs, it was tips that led to suspected heroin trafficking at two different residences.
No arrests have been made from the other location, a home on Bartlett Street.
Dobbs expects several more arrests to come in connection to the case.
After an investigation, search warrants were obtained for the home on D Street and carried out after evidence was collected, according to the sheriff's office.
