Prank fills hall with fish bait, toilet paper

PEKIN, Ill. (AP) -

Authorities in Pekin say five seniors at a local high school could face fines after officials found a hallway at the local school administration office full of catfish bait, chicken livers and birds.

The Pekin Daily Times says the students are all 18 and graduating from Washington Community High School. Authorities say the Thursday morning prank violated city vandalism and trespassing ordinances.

In addition to catfish bait, liver and birds, authorities say they also found a large number of crickets and toilet paper in the hallway.

Authorities say those who committed the prank could also be forced to pay restitution. The size of potential fines and the amount of damage done wasn't immediately available.
