AURORA, KY (KFVS) - The span designed to fix the Eggners Ferry Bridge in western Kentucky is now at the bridge site.
Transportation cabinet officials say the trip up the Tennessee River from the Lyon County port to the bridge site should take about six hours.
A barge began moving the section just after noon on Monday.
Once the piece is in place, crews will use cranes to put the span back on the bridge.
The bridge closed in January after a cargo ship slammed into it and knocked a single 322 ft. span into Kentucky Lake.
