Rush Limbaugh inducted into Hall of Famous Missourians

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau native and conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is now a member of the Hall of Famous Missourians.

Missouri House Speaker Steven Tilley selected Limbaugh for the honor and held the induction ceremony at 1 p.m.

Tilley, a Perryville native, actually kept the time of the ceremony a secret until just before it happened in hopes of avoiding a public spectacle for the event.

Several groups had criticized Limbaugh's induction because of several recent comments Limbaugh made about women and other current events.

As a member of the Hall of Famous Missourians, Limbaugh will have a bronze bust on display at the Capitol along side president Harry Truman, Mark Twain, and Walt Disney.
