Deputies say a stolen vehicle from 2009 has been found under water by a training dive team by the Clarks River boat ramp.

According to the sheriff's office, while diving around the boat ramp under Clarks River Road, a diver found a truck on the bottom of the river bed.

Divers from around the country were attending a week long underwater criminal investigations class sponsored by Mermet Springs.

Deputies say the truck, a 1995 Ford F150, was reported stolen in June of 2009.

The registered owner, 48 year old Dalvin Todd, of Paducah reported the truck was taken from him near the entrance to Indian Oaks Mobile Home Park on Clarks River Road, which is adjacent to the Clarks River.

Deputies say the truck had gone into the river off the boat ramp and came to rest under a standing tree on the river bottom.

According to the sheriff's office, the investigation continues.
