STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Two people were injured in a single car crash in Stoddard County.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. on US 60 south outer road, 1/10 mile east of MO 51.
According to the Missouri Highway patrol, the wreck happened right at the Puxico exit.
Troopers say a vehicle driven by Thomas J. Hubbert, 52, of Dudley, Mo. was westbound and failed to make a curve, ran off the road, became airborne and hit an embankment.
Hubbert was seriously injured in the crash and flown by Air Evac to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
A passenger, Nikkco L. Fortner, 40, of Springfield, Mo. was also seriously injured in the crash and flown by Air Evac to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
Trooper Clark Parrott says a car had flipped over on its top and the two people were trapped inside.
According to the highway patrol, both were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Troopers say the vehicle was a total loss.
