CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Two people were cut out of a truck Saturday afternoon after two trucks clipped each other and one rolled over off the interstate trapping the people inside.
It happened Saturday afternoon around 3:15 p.m. on Interstate 55 near the 108 mile marker, three miles north of Fruitland.
According to the highway patrol, both trucks were northbound on I-55 when a truck driven by Dakota M. Oehl, 19, of Reidheim struck a truck driven by Randolph W. Bohnert, 66, of Oak Ridge.
Troopers say this caused the Bohnert's truck to lose control, go off-road and overturn.
Two people were trapped inside and cut out of the truck.
Randolph W. Bohnert received moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
A passenger in Bohnert's truck, Shirley L. Bohnert, 73, of Oak Ridge received minor injuries and was taken by EMS to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
No lanes were blocked. Everyone involved was wearing seat belts according to the patrol.
